Painted poetry by Barbara Prešinská

Her paintings - drawings are like torn out and framed letters from her intimate diary of her emotional and mental experiences, stories, reflections, poems, fragments of the real world and the unreal world, perceptions, recorded feelings and from impressions to mystical touches.

Paintings of Barbara Prešinská carry the strong characters of a rich female world in which we men often move cumbersome and some context and associations to the fine structure of the woven textures can easily escape our superficial point of view.

By the same token, reading and connecting with Barbara's artistic expression is initially strong and saturated in abstract colour of induvidual images and its obvious and hidden effects. By composing next to each other or through contrast and analog she brings the most common complemantary colors together. There is ongoing dialogue between them and interacting forces but also contradiction and negation. From these colorful compositions flows to the viewer a whole range of moods, feelings and sensations, energies that are changing, alternating and absorbing one another even within a single picture. So joy complements passion, a sense of emptiness substituting fulfillment, strength becomes unstable, static and bounded is transformed into the flowing and ephemeral energy, fire combines with water, finite passes into infinite, the reality is lost in its pure abstract.

Together with by drawing and graphic interventions, signs and gestures inserted into color areas, which have the character of parables with the real world of nature - trees, leaves, flying birds, through the ornamental field lines expressing dance moves, flow, power, radiation – the author discreetly showed to us, or allowed us to touch the pulse of her feminine soul and mind. She allowed the insight into the meanders of the sensitive female beings, creative experiences, reflecting and recording the wonderful world of nature and its phenomena, the world of humans, the strength of their relationships and their mutual interaction and the world of consciousness and feeling.

Presented, Barbara‘s painted poetry of abstract stories and impressions speaks to us like music, it has a lot to do with it, to the sensitive person it acts with similar meanings, symbols.
